Abstract
In this paper a mathematical programming approach to the configuration of manufacturing planning and control software is presented. A genera lized zero-one nonlinear integer programming model is developed for th is purpose. The approach is illustrated for the configuration of softw are that would support activities at the tactical level in a manufactu ring environment.
