Abstract
The relationship between subjective workload and human behaviors is co nsidered. A model of the dynamics of this relationship is proposed. Re sults of three simulation experiments are reported that show that simp le linear identification algorithms are surprisingly robust in on-line identification of noisy, nonlinear versions of this model. The implic ations for developing adaptive aiding and decision support systems are noted.
