Abstract
We show that, in contrast to local spin density, the self-interaction corrected local spin density provides a correct description of the gam ma phase of Ce metal. It correctly accounts for the volume and magneti c moment collapse at the gamma-->alpha transition, in good agreement w ith experiment.
