Abstract
We review the etiologic agents, epidemiology, pathogenesis, pathology, clinical manifestations, and imaging features of several unusual intr acranial infections that have not been discussed elsewhere in this iss ue. The central nervous system (CNS) infections discussed are Creutzfe ldt-Jakob disease (CrJaD), neurosyphilis, primary amebic meningoenceph alitis (PAM), granulomatous amebic encephalitis (GAE), cerebral amebia sis, and cerebral hydatid disease.
