Vk. Aksenov et al., INFLUENCE OF DEFECT STRUCTURE FEATURES ON SUPERCONDUCTING PROPERTIES OF NB SINGLE-CRYSTALS, Fizika nizkih temperatur, 19(10), 1993, pp. 1077-1082
The influence of the structure state formed under low temperature defo
rmation (rolling with different reductions at 20 K) upon the supercond
ucting characteristics of Nb single crystals (001) [110] is studied. T
he T-c variations with growing reductions delta reflect the stages of
the defect structure evolution, in particular, the initial formation o
f regions of localized plastic flow, the change-ever to a uniform disl
ocation distribution and the onset of rotational plasticity. Complex n
on-monotonous changes are revealed for T-c, H-c2 and p(n) on removal o
f the surface layers of deformed single crystals. The reasons for the
effects observed are discussed.
