Abstract
The first Tethered Satellite has been flown in August 1992. Although i ts mission profile has been dramatically different with respect to the nominal one, about 56 hours of good accelerometric data have been rec orded and their analysis is now at its inception. This paper gives an overview of the harmonic analysis performed when the satellite was in station-keeping conditions with the tether length equal to 256 m and o f how theoretical results compare with the first processing of some of the experimental data.
