Abstract
Optically induced stepwise changes in the transmission spectra of chal cogenide Se/Se-Te superlattices has been established when the well lay er width is smaller than 45 Angstrom. The defined changes in the slope of the absorption spectra and the respective derivative staircase spe ctra support a model based on quantum size effect.
