Abstract
The possibility of using Se70Ag15I15 films as a medium for polarisatio n holographic recording is investigated for the first time. The condit ions for producing polarisation beam splitter are optimized in terms o f the intensity and temperature dependence of the diffraction efficien cy. The mechanism of the processes is discussed on the basis of the ex perimental data, the phenomena being related to Weigert effect in silv er halide systems, and photoinduced defects in chalcogenide systems.
