Abstract
The antegrade placements of JJ stents has distinct advantages over the established retrograde method. A general anaesthetic is not needed an d it overcomes the problem of cannulating the ureteric orifice which m ay be obscured by the disease process. The method is similar to nephro stomy tube placement.
