Abstract
An equation for stationary MHD equilibrium with azimuthal rotation in spherical coordinates is derived. Following a procedure introduced by Maschke and Perrin, by supposing that the plasma temperature is a surf ace quantity, we describe a two-parameter family of axisymmetric toroi dal configurations. The equilibrium equation is analytically solved fo r given hypotheses in such a way as to investigate the effect of plasm a rotation on the magnetic field structure.
