Abstract
The causes of various dendrite inhomogeneities of solid solutions are studied in relation to the cooling rate. The effect of this inhomogene ity on the non-equilibrium solidification interval and on the dimensio ns of the two-phase region in a directed-solidifying ingot with specif ied temperature gradient is established.
