APPLICATION OF ION CHROMATOGRAPHY IN THE PULP AND PAPER-INDUSTRY

ion chromatography is a sensitive and last liquid chromatographic meth od usefull for a great number oi applications. Depending on the analyt ical conditions it is possible to analyze simultanously several anions and cations respectively. There exists many possibilities to apply io n chromatography in the pulp and paper industry. For example to analyz e the content of sulphur containing anions in spent liquors and in eva poration condensates oi pulp mills, the content oi organic acids in wh ite water systems of paper machines, nitrogene and phosphor containing anions in waste water or anions in eluates of residues and water extr acts of papers.
