THE LATIN-AMERICAN MOSSBAUER RESEARCH COMMUNITY

Interest in Mossbauer spectroscopy among the Latin American countries has increased in the last five years. Two-thirds of the published rese arch is coming from the Mossbauer research groups in Brazil. Other Lat in American countries with active Mossbauer research include Argentina , Chile, Columbia, Cuba, Mexico, Peru, and Venezuela. In recent years, the area having the most interest has been the investigation of miner als and high temperature superconductors.
