Abstract
Al-Fe multilayers have been mixed by thermal treatment and their evolu tion followed by conversion electron Mossbauer spectroscopy. The initi al and final states have been characterized by Rutherford backscatteri ng spectrometry. The results are compared with those previously obtain ed in the ion beam mixing of similar systems.
