Sv. Smirnov et al., A STUDY OF HIGH-TEMPERATURE PLASTICITY OF SOME GROUP-VI METAL-ALLOYS UNDER ALTERNATING DEFORMATION CONDITIONS, Russian metallurgy. Metally, (5), 1993, pp. 115-117
The effect of temperature on the plasticity of group VI metals under a
lternating deformation conditions is studied. With increasing temperat
ure, the effect of the alternating character of deformation on plastic
ity diminishes. In contrast to the monotonous deformation where the pl
asticity increases with temperature, under alternating deformation con
ditions there is a distinct temperature range within which the shear s
train accumulated before fracture has a maximum value.
