Abstract
The models and the two wind tunnels used to insvestigate the effect of wind on containers being transported on stanchion wagons are describe d. The results of the drag, side force, and Lift measurements carried out from 0 degrees to 90 degrees yaw and for Reynolds numbers ranging from 1/6th to full-scale are presented and discussed. Rolling moment, pitching moment and yawing moment characteristics are briefly discusse d.
