Iv. Belyaev et Aa. Vostryakov, COMPOSITION MACROINHOMOGENEITY AND MICROINHOMOGENEITY OF YUNDKT5AA ALLOY SINGLE-CRYSTAL INGOTS, Russian metallurgy. Metally, (3), 1993, pp. 149-152
Macro- and micro-inhomogeneity of composition of hard magnetic YuNDKT5
AA alloy single crystal ingots grown at rates 1-10 mm/min has been stu
died by chemical and X-ray electron probe analyses. Dendritic segregat
ion of the alloy constituents vs growth rate dependency was found to b
e not monotonous. At the same time the average chemical composition al
ong the vertical extent of the ingot in all cases remains virtually co
nstant.
