Abstract
Expressions for the elastic strain energies due to dislocation arrays near bimaterial interface or near the free surface of a semi-infinite body are derived. Arrays with periodic straight dislocations of edge, screw and combined type are considered. Expressions for the complete s tress distribution and dislocation forces are also presented.
