MOLECULAR-BEAM SCATTERING FROM SOLID-SURFACES - HE DIFFRACTION, HYPERTHERMAL SCATTERING, AND SURFACE DYNAMICS

I discuss some qualitative aspects of the interaction of atoms/molecul es at surfaces as probed with molecular beam techniques, using as a ba sis selected experiments done in my laboratory. These include a brief assessment of He diffraction, a description of the phenomenology assoc iated with hyperthermal scattering, and brief comments on activated di ssociative adsorption and surface diffusion.
