Abstract
We describe 2 patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and inclusion bo dy myositis (IBM). Examination and laboratory tests including muscle b iopsy with frozen section and electron microscopy were performed. Both patients fulfilled diagnostic criteria for IBM, which is increasingly recognized in association with autoimmune disease. A high index of su spicion and early thorough investigation are required to diagnose IBM in patients with RA.
