Abstract
The effect of the cold deformation degree during drawing on the shear modulus, spiral elongation, elastic spring back, breaking elongation a nd texture of copper win before and after enameling have been studied. The cause of the wire properties change during an increase of cold de formation degree is a texture change. A method of spiral elongation, w hich is used to estimate the recrystallization ability of copper inten ded to produce enameled wire, can also be applied for estimating the i nfluence of some technological parameters of drawing on the properties of enameled wire.
