Abstract
On Friday 23 July 1993, the degassing line of filter B of the hyam rea ctor was ruptured due to an internal explosion. During the investigati on that followed, many scenarios were evaluated. The final, unequivoca l conclusion was that a flammable gas mixture, in which N2O was presen t, had detonated. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
