Abstract
A method based on the collection of Tc-99 from 500 l sea water samples by anion exchange and further extraction of TcO4- into 5% triisooctyl amine-xylene has been improved to include a decontamination factor 6.5 x 10(5) for uranium. The detection limit for Tc-99 is thereby reduced to 3 mBq/m3.
