A deterministic model of the simple catalytic heterogeneous reaction o
f monomolecular isomerization in a complete-mixing reactor, accounting
for an imperfect adsorption layer, was examined. The simulation was c
arried out using a complex type of interaction, when multiplicity of t
he stationary states appeared in the system. Bifurcational diagrams, p
hase portraits of the system, and dependence of the steady-state react
ion rate on the pressure were derived. A relation between bifurcationa
l and phase diagrams of the examined system was demonstrated. The poss
ible number of the stationary states was shown to be determined by the
number of areas of phase coexistence at the phase diagram.
