Abstract
A new type of polymer bearing an hydroxamic group on the main chain wa s prepared for the first time from terephthaloyl chloride and hydroxyl amine by interfacial polycondensation, and in solution of pyridine. It was soluble in DMSO only, and it decomposes at 125 degrees C without melting but 52% weight loss (TGA).
