Jn. Boyer et al., EFFECT OF PHOTOPERIOD ON GROWTH OF ARCTIC CHAR UNDER COMMERCIAL PRODUCTION CONDITIONS, The Progressive fish-culturist, 56(1), 1994, pp. 44-46
Arctic char (Salvelinus alpinus) raised in 24-h light exhibited signif
icantly lower specific growth rates, reduced body condition, and less
efficient feed conversions than fish grown under photoperiods with 20-
, 16-, and 12-h light durations. There were no significant differences
among fish grown with 20-, 16-, or 12-h light periods for any of thes
e variables.
