Mj. Richard et al., INFLUENCE OF SUSPENSION PARAMETERS ON THE BEHAVIOR OF A VEHICLE, Transactions of the Canadian Society for Mechanical Engineering, 17(4B), 1993, pp. 881-894
The present work is concerned with the dynamic simulation of mechanica
l systems composed of linear and non-linear elements. This simulation
is based on the vectorial network technique where the non-linear absor
bers have been introduced. The objective of this research is to select
and study the influence of such suspension parameters as the hardness
coefficient and the shock absorption coefficient on the behavior of m
echanical systems in general and vehicles in particular. First, this a
pproach is applied to a mechanical system with one degree of freedom r
epresenting the vibration of one quarter of a vehicle subjected to a s
inusoidal signal. Second, we have simulated the vibration of a plane v
ehicle solicited randomly as a function of time.
