Among 37 pelvic masses assessed in 20 cases (54%) the pelvic examination differed from the findings obtained by TVS. Onl y 4 (29%) cases assessed by pelvic examination were in agreement with the laparotomy findings as compared with 10 (71%) cases assessed by TV S.
