Abstract
From the stem-bark of Cassia javanica Linn. (Leguminosae) anew anthraq uinone 6-tetrahydroxy-5,8-dimethoxy-2-methylanthraquinone has been iso lated and characterized on the basis of chemical studies and spectral data (UV, IR, NMR).
