Abstract
In this paper, we derive simply-structured, single term approximation formulae for the generalised Hubbell rectangular source integrals invo lving hypergeometric functions. These results are sufficiently accurat e to allow a semi-quantitative assessment of the dependence of these f unctions on the parameters. The corresponding result for the Hubbell i ntegral is derived as a particular case. Tables are given to compare t he numerical values derived from the approximate formulae with those g iven earlier by Kalla et al.
