Sampling with Partial Replacement (SPR) is extended to double sampling
for stratification on three occasions based on the two-occasion case
presented by Bickford et al. (1963). Ware and Cunia's (1962) unbiased
estimator of net change is extended to double sampling for stratificat
ion on two and three occasions. A closed form solution is presented fo
r the two-occasion case. However, the net change estimator in the seco
nd-occasion case requires solving a system of seven equations. The est
imators presented make it possible to use Sampling with Partial Replac
ement on two or three occasions, with simple random sampling, stratifi
ed random sampling, or double sampling for stratification; and, for es
timation of current attributes, their net change between occasions, an
d components of growth.
