Pr. Jolles, RECTAL CARCINOID METASTATIC TO THE SKELETON - SCINTIGRAPHIC AND RADIOGRAPHIC CORRELATION, Clinical nuclear medicine, 19(2), 1994, pp. 108-111
Compared to other primary neoplasms, bone metastases from carcinoid tu
mor are rare. Because some lesions may be clinically or radiographical
ly occult, the radionuclide bone scan can be very helpful in delineati
ng the extent of disease. The authors report a case of a patient with
clinically occult widespread metastatic disease detected by bone scan,
with radiographic correlation.
