Abstract
C.A Clayton and his collaborators [Anal. Chem., 59 (1987) 2506] establ ished the detection limit as an hypothesis test to determine the prese nce or absence of an analyte in a sample, with an evaluation of the pr obability of obtaining a false negative or false positive. The program DETARCHI implements this method and calculates the characteristic cur ves of detection associated with the test.
