Abstract
The properties of a glassy carbon (GC) electrode modified by nickel hy droxide formed by ex situ chemical precipitation were studied by cycli c voltammetry in alkaline solutions; and compared with the properties of the GC electrode modified by nickel tetraazamacrocyclic complexes. It was found that the GC/Ni(OH)2 modified electrode acts as an effecti ve catalyst for the oxidation of methanol.
