Sv. Kertman et al., THE CORRELATION OF CATALYTIC ACTIVITY OF CHELATING ION-EXCHANGE RESINS WITH SORPTION AND HYDRATION ENERGIES, Kinetics and catalysis, 34(6), 1993, pp. 931-933
The catalytic activity of sorbate complexes of some transition metals
and its dependence on the metal ion content in chelating ion-exchange
resins containing phosphoric (KRF-5p) and aminophospohonic (ADF) acid
groups is investigated. The sorption energies of metal ions, as well a
s the hydration energies of resins containing metal ions, are determin
ed over the entire range of coverages. The dependence of the hydration
energy on the catalytic activity is found for the reaction of hydroge
n peroxide decomposition. It is shown that the metal-ion concentration
in the ionite affects the structure of sorbed complexes.
