Abstract
The dependence of the activity of zeolites in the reactions of C-alkyl ation of phenol on the number and strength of Bronsted acid sites is d etermined. Mechanochemical treatment influences the acid-site distribu tion. Hydroxyaluminum species that do not enter the framework and are localized at the zeolite surface exhibit a negative effect on the occu rrence of the process.
