Abstract
Synthesis of new heterocyclic systems with benzocyclohepten groups. Th e synthesis of benzocyclohepta-isoxazoles and pyrazoles from 3H-benzoc ycloheptene-2,4-dicarbaldehyde 3 or -dihydroxy-3H-benzocycloheptene-2, 4-dicarbonitrile 11 is discussed. A convenient synthesis of bispyrazol es is reported via bistosylhydrazones of ethylenic 1,5-dicarboxaldehyd es.
