On the basis of an analytical description, an algorithm and program ar
e formed for calculating the stresses within the field of action of in
terstitial atoms. Taking metals that form close-packed or similar syst
ems on solidification, it is shown that, the interstitial atom concent
ration being in the order of 10(-3), the contribution of stresses indu
ced by the interstitial atoms might be predominant in the coral of int
ernal stresses appearing during the electrodeposition process.
