The dynamics and interaction of dislocations of roll systems forming h
exagonal patterns is studied numerically within a model of three reson
antly coupled Newell-Whitehead-Segel equations. It is shown that an in
dividual dislocation is driven away as a result of phase synchronizati
on among roll patterns. Two dislocations with opposite topological cha
rges belonging to different roll systems are attracted to each other a
nd form a ''penta-hepta'' defect on the background of the perfect hexa
gonal pattern, which is stable and motionless.
