Abstract
The genus Miroblatta does not belong to the subfamily Polyphaginae, bu t to the family Blaberidae, and probably to the subfamily Epilamprinae . The simple folding of its hindwings (no fan-like anal field) is not a simple synapomorphic feature of any cockroach family and appears mer ely to be a symplesiomorphic trait in Dictyoptera.
