Abstract
The enantioselective potential of Rhodococcus rhodochrous NCIMB 11216 nitrilase has been measured, using a range of chiral nitriles with var ious C-2 group substitutions. The highest selectivity was achieved dur ing the biotransformation of (+/-) 2-methylhexanitrile where the react ion appears enantiospecific for the (+) enantiomer.
