Abstract
Unstimulated saliva was fractionated by micro two-dimensional gel elec trophoresis, and the proteins visualized by silver staining and immuno staining. The subjects with Sjogren's syndrome exhibited both quantita tive and qualitative alterations in the protein composition of the sal iva not only from the parotid gland but also from the submandibular/su blingual glands.
