Abstract
A discussion is given of the possible role of spin polarons in a bipol aron model of high-T-c superconductors as found experimentally. For li ghtly doped materials the diffusion coefficient may be determined eith er by the inner core, in which case it is independent of T-c or by the dielectric sheath, in which case scattering by phonons yields a simil ar result to that obtained by Alexandrov et al for two-dimensional sys tems. The evidence presented in this paper suggests the La2-xSrxCuO4 l ies in the former group, YB2Cu3O7-delta, in the latter.
