Ai. Troster et al., PREDICTING LONG-TERM OUTCOME IN INDIVIDUALS AT RISK FOR ALZHEIMERS-DISEASE WITH THE DEMENTIA RATING-SCALE, The Journal of neuropsychiatry and clinical neurosciences, 6(1), 1994, pp. 54-57
The Dementia Rating Scale, previously shown to be sensitive to dementi
a progression, was used to differentiate among normal control subjects
, patients with Alzheimer's disease (AD), and those judged to be at ri
sk for AD on the basis of subclinical memory impairment. The memory sc
ale of the Dementia Rating Scale predicted with 93% accuracy which at-
risk individuals would develop AD at 4- to 6-year follow-up.
