Abstract
The rate constant for the reaction CF3O + O-3 -> products (1) at 298 K has been determined using a combined laser photolysis/ laser-induced fluorescence technique. An upper limit of k(1) equal to or less than 2 X 10(-5) cm(3)/s is found. It is concluded that this reaction is too slow to initiate CF3Ox induced ozone depletion in the stratosphere.
