Abstract
Potentiometric measurements in different media and at different temper atures were performed in order to determine protonation constants of g lyphosate and formation constants for Ca2+ and Mg2+ complexes, togethe r with their dependence on ionic strength and Delta H-0 lo values. Cal orimetric measurements were also performed to determine Delta H-0 of p rotonation. Potentiometric measurements in mixed Ca2+ and Mg2+ solutio n allowed us to determine the formation of a mixed metal species. Ther modyn amic parameters reported in this work can be used for studying t he complete speciation of glp in electrolyte solutions containing the major ionic components of natural fluids.
