When f(x) = 2x (mod 1) is simulated in a finite discretized space, wit
h random round-off error, the dynamical states can be modeled as belon
ging to a family of Markov chains. We completely characterize the inva
riant measure of the discretized dynamics in terms of easily computabl
e stationary measures of the chains.
