Abstract
NASA has developed battery technology to meet the demanding requiremen
ts for aerospace applications; specifically, the space vacuum, launch
loads, and high duty cycles. Because of unique requirements and operat
ing environments associated with space applications, NASA has written
its own standards and specifications for batteries.
