Abstract
Prognostic factors in patients with surgically-treated peripheral T-1
(less than or equal to 3 cm in greatest diameter) adenocarcinoma of th
e lung were analyzed in 45 cases. Statistical differences in survival
was observed between stages I + II and III + IV (p < 0.005) However, n
either sex, age, location of tumor, histological subtype, histological
grade, tumor ploidy, nor presence of central gibrosis was of prognost
ic determinance. Our results suggest that only clinical stage is of pr
ognostic importance in surgically-treated peripheral T-2 adenocarcinom
a of the lung.
