Abstract
Symptomatic biliary tract disease in the pregnant patient has always b een problematical. The advent and widespread application of laparoscop ic cholecystectomy has led to a re-evaluation of the role of surgery i n this clinical situation. We report on the use of laparoscopic cholec ystectomy on a patient in the first trimester of pregnancy.
